The Cinturato™ Gravel S is the gravel tyre for soft and muddy terrain. Tall, widely spaced knobs dig into loose ground and clear quickly, giving a safe, predictable ride in adverse weather and on technical tracks where grip matters more than pure speed. Compatible with hookless rims up to the ETRTO limit of 5 bar / 73 psi, it suits riders of any level who want confidence when the surface gets rough. The Classic edition adds a tan sidewall.
COMPOUND, CASING, TECHNOLOGIES
What's the secret to our tyres? Let's take a look at some of the motorsport-derived technologies applied to our cycling tyres
SPEEDGRIP COMPOUND
The SpeedGRIP Compound is a gravel-specific rubber formulation born from the Pirelli experience in the World Rally Championship, where speed and grip on and off-road are crucial. It relies on the polymer matrix of the MTB-specific SmartGRIP Compound while lowering its rolling resistance. Our engineers tuned it towards better energy efficiency with a small compromise on grip: the result is a predictable compound with solid performance on and off road, in both dry and wet conditions.
TECHWALL GRAVEL CASING
The TechWALL Gravel casing is built around a robust multi-layer overlapping fabric, reinforced with bead-to-bead protection. On the road most punctures come from sharp objects penetrating the tread, while off-road they come from sidewall cuts, so the casing protects the whole perimeter of the tyre while keeping a supple riding feel. It delivers an ideal balance of puncture resistance, durability and comfort for a wide range of gravel conditions.
